Compassionate Inquiry and Art Therapy - English, Spanish, and Portuguese on Zoom or in-person in Stockholm, Sweden.

Georgina Navarro

Georgina is the co-owner of          Co-Compassion and a Trauma-informed Art Therapist and Educator who understands and practices the therapeutic process as a collaborative journey toward self-connection and autonomy.

Georgina’s journey began in Honduras, Central America. At the tender age of five, she embarked on a life-changing migration to México. Leaving behind not just her home, family, and friends, but the entire world she knew at the time, left a profound impact on her formative years. It was this unspoken grief that fueled her pursuit of the arts and human development.

She began her academic journey by earning a university degree in Graphic Arts with a specialisation in Illustration in México. This was followed by a certification as a Waldorf Educator, which provided the foundation for her early career within Waldorf educational centres in Mexico. There, she served as an elementary teacher and pedagogical consultant for families and educators. This trajectory eventually led her to Brazil, where she earned a post-graduate degree in Art Therapy.

Today, she integrates this academic foundation with advanced training and certifications in Emergency Pedagogy, Trauma-Informed Expressive Art Therapy, Mindfulness self-compassion, Compassionate Inquiry, and Polyvagal Theory. A central component of her professional profile is her role as a facilitator for the Spanish Compassionate Inquiry professional year-long training program, where she instructs participants in the application of Dr Gabor Maté’s approach to therapy.

In practice, Georgina utilises the non-verbal language of Art Therapy, combining it with somatic practices and the Compassionate Inquiry framework to access and process trauma that often remains unreachable through traditional talk therapy. She also supports those navigating challenging life transitions, grief, and the path toward personal growth and self-discovery. She facilitates a structured, safe environment where individuals can externalise internal states to be processed and reframed into a restorative new inner narrative, uncovering the internal resources necessary to regulate their nervous systems.

The objective of her work is to support individuals, groups and communities in weaving together their life experiences to nurture the inherent capacity for resilience and the enduring strength that is the natural birthright of every human being.

English, Spanish, and Portuguese sessions are available.
